Professional Coin Grading Services
*Attention: if you submit uncirculated coins for grading to PCAGC. Please keep the coins in their original packaging or cello. We cannot give a designation of uncirculated coin to a loose coin. PCAGC will remove your coins from the original packaging when you send them in to us. We will annotate the date and time when we remove your uncirculated coins from their original packaging on the COG - certification of grade. Thank you for your attention.
PCAGC is a Third-Party Independent Professional Coin Grading Services. We offer expert Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS) for collectors, investors, and dealers. Our certified appraisers evaluate each coin using an advanced and very Conservative (above industry-standards) our Numismatists Guaranteed Competent (NGC) grading scales to provide an accurate, unbiased assessment of its condition and value.
PCAGC Coin Grading Scale
PCAGC is the Professional Standards Authority on coin grading, appraisal and authentication. PCAGC uses the internationally recognized "Sheldon coin grading scale" (with some of our improved updates), ranging from Poor (P-1) to Perfect Mint State (MS-70). And introducing our new grading scale for Circulated Coins (CS) Circulated State CS-50 to CS-70 (and the + plus designation). And for "Enhanced Uncirculated Finish" or "Enhanced Uncirculated Sets." PCAGC designation is (EF-60) to (EF-70). Each coin is carefully examined for:
- Strike — sharpness and detail of the coin's design
- Surface Preservation — presence of marks, scratches, or wear
- Luster — original mint brilliance and eye appeal
- Color — for copper coins, the natural toning and patina
- Note - only uncirculated coins can be given the designation (MS) Mint State not coins that have been through circulation.
Why Get Your Coins Graded By PCAGC?
PCAGC - Professional Coin Grading Services adds credibility and value to your coins. A certified and appraised grade from PCAGC gives buyers confidence and can significantly increase the marketability of your coin collection. We use a unique grading system we call the COG - certification of grade. In the COG, you will receive a summary report of the condition of your coins. As well as an appraisal, and a grade all in one report. No other Coin Grading service does what PCAGC does. The COG will give you the reason for the grade in the summary report - no guessing game of why you received the grade like with other companies. Whether you're buying, selling, or insuring your coins, a professional coin grade is essential.
